WOOD & Company’s Market Share Rapidly Growing in Neighbouring Countries

PRAGUE, 3 September 2008 – Wood & Company Financial Services, the leading independent investment bank in the Central and Eastern Europe, maintains its position of the biggest foreign trader on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, while continuing to strengthen its position across the region.

In August 2008 Wood & Company achieved a record 6.4% market share on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, making it its 7th largest stock broker. Simultaneously, the company has also significantly increased its share on the Budapest Stock Exchange with its 8.7% market share, making it its 4th largest broker.

We are particularly pleased about our results on the Warsaw Stock Exchange given the competitive and fragmented nature of the Polish market.” said Ms. Andrea Ferancova, Partner and Director of Wood & Company.

These results even further strengthened Wood & Company’s position as one of the leading independent financial services providers in both CEE and South Eastern Europe, where it serves its clients with a full range of services consisting of trading, execution services including direct market access and research coverage.

We view these achievements affirmation of our unique comprehensive market coverage mode and of the ultimate customer-centric approach that we have decided to build on. Yet most importantly, we of course see them as an expression of appreciation from our clients” commented Ms. Ferancova.
